Walked away from several situations
Keeping on… keeping on. Walked away from several situations where I was offered really unhealthy choices to eat. People looked at me like I had two heads. It drives me crazy when they say… “you have worked hard, you can treat yourself”. One voice is telling me.. they are right, I have worked hard and… Read more “Walked away from several situations”
A wonderful gift!
I travelled out of town, and got sick and was able to manage food and exercise (and drinking water) without a hitch! A little over a month ago I was reluctant to go on this trip because I was worried I would get anxious and feel alone and not be able to manage well. I… Read more “A wonderful gift!”
I was glad I saw the label!
I chose to substitute a recipe after reading that high fructose corn syrup was in my mayo. Instead I did balsamic vinegar and olive oil for a dressing to go over my broccoli and cauliflower salad. I was glad I saw the label! So I could do something instead!
Wrecked havoc on my routine
I had unexpected out-of-town visitors for 11 days and wrecked havoc on my routine. I managed to not completely blow my diet and workouts with all the sightseeing and driving I was doing. YAY!! I had to cook differently than I usually do, so I tried to stick to protein shakes and smoothies for my… Read more “Wrecked havoc on my routine”
A victory that I didn't just give up
I have had a very busy summer and missed a few weeks of the class. When traveling I left my supplements at home and also ate junk food--not a lot but I did. I could definitely tell the difference in my energy, sleep, and even had some pain in my knee. Back home and on… Read more “A victory that I didn't just give up”
I just do it!
Still exercising every single day for 30 minutes. I do not go to bed until I exercise! I don’t let life get in the way of exercising. I just do it!
I am really proud of myself
I am really proud of myself. This week as I faced the usual options that would’ve saved me time and money but would’ve bad for my brain, I chose to do good for my brain. I took the time to prepare foods and chose better options in spite of cost. It also enabled me to… Read more “I am really proud of myself”

Seeing the criticalness of meditation
Learning more little by little of what to do and eat. I have found this stressful at times keeping up with all the recommendations but I do the best I can. Comparing products not just accepting what someone tells me about theirs. Quality key. Seeing the criticalness of meditation.
I couldn't have done it without BWW
I am extremely afraid of heights, but this week, I went on a difficult 7.5 hour hike (ledges, cliffs, and all) and made it to the top of the very steep butte! I couldn’t have done it without BWW (I also brought veggies and hummus for snacks, while my friend brought junk food.)
Able to resolve a conflict
I was able to resolve a conflict between me and my daughters without turning to food for comfort. Instead I thought of how I could turn our negative conversation into something positive. I purchased 2 red roses and gave them each a card that told them I was sorry for our tough conversation and assured… Read more “Able to resolve a conflict”
Killing the ANTs
Only had one incidence of using unkind words while driving! I was killing the ANTs before they turned into hurtful words.
Water can wash the brain at night
I find that when life happens, I can put life into perspective and am thankful for where I am at this moment. Sharing where I can about how water can wash the brain at night and people find it really interesting. I have been promoting the water to everyone I meet.

Really making an effort to stay hydrated
Really making an effort to stay hydrated. I have been slowly eliminating alcohol from my weekend diet. Cutting back on my sugars. Savoring
Really savoring the garden produce and noticing how flavors of tomatoes, peppers and onions taste so much better. Incorporating a lot more greens like spinach and kale into my salads. Really thinking the “then what” more frequently.

I have had a very busy summer and missed a few weeks of the class. When traveling I left my supplements at home and also ate junk food--not a lot but I did. I could definitely tell the difference in my energy, sleep, and even had some pain in my knee. Back home and on track with supplements, hydration, eating right, and getting caught up on the video lessons. That is a victory that I didn’t just give up, but chose to get back on the program.

Really making an effort to stay hydrated. I have been slowly eliminating alcohol from my weekend diet. Cutting back on my sugars. And just being mindful of what I eat and what I buy from the store – reading food labels more and being able to put them back on the shelf when I see different variants of “syrup” in it when it is supposed to be “healthy”.

I couldn't have done it without you too!
I finally got myself to the lab to get my lipid test done (the last one on the list to get done) and my doctor actually messaged me and told me she was really happy with my numbers, ALL my numbers. She said, “what ever you are doing keep doing it!” I’m proud of myself. And thank you Dr Amen and Tana, I couldn’t have done it without you too!
Well, I am ecstatic
Well, I am ecstatic that I lost another pound!!!!! I know that my brain is healthier, that I can think better and that I feel better. My life seems fuller, much more purposeful. I am directing my own pathway instead of being on the end of cravings for food. I not only have a plan, but I continue to learn and shape this plan of being healthy in mind, body and soul!
