Are All Grains All Bad, All The Time?

If you think you are eating healthy but you still gain weight just from smelling food, and your energy goes down before the sun does, this video is for you. We talk about doing a quick and easy elimination diet, resetting your metabolism and grains.

And on that note: Are all grains all bad all the time?

A grain of truth: No, not all grains are all bad all the time. But in phase one of The Omni Diet, we ask you to cut your grains out completely.

Doing an elimination diet is great because you are doctoring yourself. Your body is the best doctor you have, and the right foods are its medicine.

The elimination diet is a procedure used to identify foods that may be the cause of why you feel the way you do, in addition to unexplained weight gains. You remove all suspected foods from your diet, and then bring them back in one at a time, seeing if that one particular food is the cause.

So, what is metabolism anyway?

Every time you swallow some salmon or slurp a smoothie, your body works hard to process those nutrients. Long after the dishes are cleared and the food is digested, the nutrients become the building blocks and fuel you need. Your body gets the energy it needs from food through a process called metabolism.

Metabolism is a collection of chemical reactions that takes place in the body’s cells. Metabolism converts the fuel in the food we eat into the energy needed to power everything we do, from moving to thinking to growing. Specific proteins in the body control the chemical reactions of metabolism, and each chemical reaction is coordinated with other body functions. In fact, thousands of metabolic reactions happen at the same time—all regulated by the body—to keep our cells healthy and working.

So if you have a mediocre metabolism, like a domino effect, your whole body suffers. And it usually begins at the waist!

Are you eating backwards?

At 1:50 in the video, watch how so many people think they are eating a healthy meal, but they are doing it backwards by eating too much of one thing and not enough of another. See how you can “flip it.”

At 2:20 in the video, you’ll discover a little-known seed that has become quite a lifesaver for many people who love their grains. This little seed can replace wheat and oats, and it’s loaded with protein. I use this a lot in my recipes and at home.

And what about bread?

Good news! You may be surprised by what I will be telling you within the next four minutes, but click on the video right now to see the #1 bread I would recommend you go with.
